This course provides a thorough understanding of the six syndromes and correlated formula patterns according to Jing Fang (classic herbal system of Zhang Zhong Jing). It is suitable for all practitioners, whether they have prior knowledge of Chinese herbology or not.

The six syndromes classic system of Zhang Zhong Jing, is the basic foundation of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) as taught in most Chinese medical schools around the world Today, therefore it is a classical system; It predates TCM. This system was practiced more widely in China before 1960, and it complements the understanding of TCM.

This basic program of 4 weekends (128 hours) will enable practitioners to become proficient in the understanding and clinical application of the six syndromes, not only through acupuncture points but herbal formulas of herbs adapted to the treatment of these syndromes. Practitioners will study in detail 100 specific herbs, as well as 130 herbal formulas (composed of the herbs studied) according to the Jing Fang approach, including the dosages and key modifications needed for the different formulas.

Later, advanced clinical training will be offered (see page 2) to treat frequently seen pathologies in clinic (gynecology, dermatology, ENT, pain, neurology, psychological syndromes, intestinal and respiratory disorders, in order to analyze them by means according to the herbal theroy and treat them according to the Jing Fang six syndromes approach. Patients will participate in this advanced training, giving practitioners the opportunity to strengthen and refine their skills in the Jing Fang system.

Below is the 2018-2019 course schedule for classic formulas of the Shang Han Za Bing Lun in Toronto. This course is divided to four sections and the dates for the following courses are:

Course 1: Jing Fang classical symptomology of the external Tai yang and Shao yin syndromes and their respective formula patterns, March 30th to April 2nd, 2018.

Course 2: Internal Tai yin and Yang ming syndromes and formula patterns, October 18 to 21, 2018.

Course 3: Half-external half-internal Shao yang and Jue yin syndromes and formula patterns, March 22 to 25, 2019.

Course 4: Complex case discussion and review with Jing Fang treatment, classical pulse differentiation and single herbs approach according to Hu xi shu and Zhang zhong jing, October 3 to 6, 2019.
