Dr. Shi Xue Min

Professor Shi Xue Min (石学敏) was born June 6, 1938 in Tianjin, China. He graduated from Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) in 1962 and completed his postgraduate work at the National Health Ministry in 1965 as a MD and TCM doctor. Dr. Shi is very active in the acupuncture society and has developped his own technique for post stroke neurological diseases called “Xing Nao Kai Qiao” meaning wake the mind and open the orifaces. This technique has been subject to many clinical trials with success and recognition.
Dr. Robidoux has managed and edited a serious acupuncture and moxibustion textbook compiling all of Dr. Shi’s clinical experience and needling techniques including his famous Xing Nao Kai Qiao.In China, Professor Shi is a highly honored and distinguished clinician, researcher, and an academician, with over 40 years of experience in the field. Professor Shi’s, remarkable accomplishments are well-founded in the ancient theories of Chinese Medicine. Noted for his meticulous scholarship as well as his ability to mark new professional trails throughout his career, Professor Shi is the recipient of numerous awards, and has published more than 30 articles and authored 17 books.
