According to Global Burden of Disease 2010 “Low back pain is the single leading cause of disability worldwide”. Back pain is one of the most common reasons for missed work and experts estimate that as many as 80% of the population will experience a back problem at some time in our lives. As practitioners we are responsible to learn every possible treatment approach to treat this commonly contracted disease. There has been a lot of clinical research conducted to find the most effective treatment approach for lower back pain. Dr. Robidoux has conducted a comparative clinical study for over 2 years comparing the traditional approach of Chinese medicine to single acupuncture for severe sciatica pain proving that traditional approach or combined approach brought over 20% more relief than single acupuncture.


In this seminar, Dr. Robidoux will share her knowledge on using over 10 different acupuncture and moxibustion treatments for lower back pain as well as adding the full protocol used during her research which includes an innovative moxa massage technique used for many types of musculoskeletal pain and disorders such an neck spondylosis, upper back pain, sciatica, and so on.


In this afternoon, Dr. Robidoux will also review the treatment approach for headache and migraine. There are 8 various causes of contracting a migraine and the acupuncture and moxibustion treatment approaches vary greatly.
